Chessington: Vampire

Vampire is an Arrow suspended coaster that originally opened in 1990. On a suspended coaster the cars hang below the track, but they can swing from side-to-side which is really fun as you go through curves and direction changes.

In 2001 it received new trains, built by Vekoma, to replace the original Arrow trains. These new trains are floorless, much like an Inverted coaster, and make the ride really fun.

The ride is totally surrounded by trees, and goes through and around many buildings. On a suspended coaster (with the floorless trains), this is just totally great as your feet actually do brush leaves and branches on the ride! There are also many places that feel like you're going to slam right into a tree or building. It's very well done, and a great coaster.
