Michigan's Adventure - September 2006
It was Mike's suggestion to hit Michigan's Adventure on their last operating day for the 2006 season (September 17th). What a great suggestion!!We had a terrific day, with awesome weather and almost no other people. I left home at a groggy 8am, and after picking up Beth we arrived at the park at about 12:30pm (Eastern). Mike's kids set the initial schedule, so we started off with Zach's Zoomer (SO CUTE!), and then hit Corkscrew (running well), Wildcat (running 'meh'), and finally Shivering Timbers (running very well).
Aside from the coasters I got drenched on the new Rapids ride, and then utterly soaked on the boat ride ... My undies and socks were still wet when I got home, about 10 hours later!! The log ride, Falling Star, bumper cars, Ferris Wheel and swinging ship were all operating in top form too.
Michigan's Adventure will never win awards for beauty, charm or atmosphere (let's be honest: it's a bit of a dump), but I always have fun there. Enjoy the few pictures I took, and be envious that you were not able to come with!
