Silver Dollar City

I just knew that Silver Dollar City would be awesome, and it seriously did not disappoint. It's run by the same company as Dollwood, which was also awesome, so I had high hopes for SCD. Sitting beautifully in the foot-hills of the Ozarks, there are trees and plants everywhere. Where most parks put trees/plants in the gaps between the pathways, SDC put pathways in the gaps between the trees. The atmosphere there is just wonderful.

I arrived a whole hour before the park opened, but I was still welcomed. The park lets people enter into the main square, where they have live music playing. The theming is really nice, with people walking around in period (19th century) costumes; including a fireman with a dalmation! Needless to say, I could spend days walking around here with a camera; however that would mean I'd miss out on the fabulous rides!
