ValleyFair!
My trip up to ValleyFair was very last minute; I decided to go just days before, when I found out that my friends Robb and Elissa were going to be there. Aside from seeing them again, I was stoked to get a chance to ride the new GCI wood coaster: Renegade.I consider GCI to be my favorite of the wood coaster design companies, so it was a no brainer to hit the road and get up there for a trip.
ValleyFair is a park run by the company Cedar Fair, so the park itself was really pretty unexciting. Cedar Fair parks are always androgynous, completely without atmosphere or personality. They are very much the park equivilant of McDondals; where you know you'll get edible food, in a technically "nice" environment, but it's still a very emotionless experiance.
Still ... Renegade was awesome, and I had a great day with everyone.
