First Snow Storm
For the last two days the news has been warning us about a snow-storm of doom that was heading our way. Last night they actually showed people heading out to stock up on supplies and prepare for the worst. You'd think the end of the world was coming! The forecast was for 6-12 inches between midnight and 11am. I was skeptical .. they always over-forecast this early in the season.Well I woke this morning to the mad beeping of my two uninterruptible power supplies (one on Buzzneon, and one for the TiVos). I checked the clock, which was blank. It actually took me a second to figure it out, but the power was out! In the 10 years I've lived in Evanston, the power has gone out due to storms probably only one or two times. Could we really be getting a foot of snow??
Sadly no. Looking outside there was maybe three inches (although I've since learned some suburbs received more). Since I was up an hour early, and I had no power, I decided to go for a walk...
