Sometimes, when switching back/forward between PhatMac and the Windows Application, it might be necessary to do a hard reset of the Phatnoise player. This includes the first time you use PhatMac. I don't know why this is necessary, but it's very simple to do..

• Shut off the car and the radio
• Make sure all lights are off on the front of the player
• Rech behind and unplug the power cable
• Wait about a minute or so
• With the DMS cartridge installed in the player, reconnect the power cable
• You may have to wait a few minutes, but the player should now function normally.

If the cable is not easy to reach (which may be the case in some installations), then you can pull the fuse for the radio instead. Be aware that many radios require a security code to be entered any time they lose power. Make sure you have the code ready and know how to enter it, the PhatNoise player will not function until you unlock the radio.
